Can I try meditation once?


Naturally. If you are coming to us for the first time, I recommend the weekly evening meditation breathing exercise on Tuesday evenings from 7:30-9:00 p.m. So that I can brief you briefly, please do so by 7 p.m. You are welcome to announce your visit by telephone: Mobile: 0151 42471529. (You are welcome to bring your yoga mat, but everything is also available).

Basically, I recommend the ZEN Intro course, which starts in October, for those interested in ZEN. Duration 8 weeks.


Which is better for me: ZEN or mindfulness?


You can hardly distinguish between the two, at most by the intensity. In the evening meditation we have a sequence of relaxed breathing exercises while lying down, followed by 3 x 20-minute meditations on a chair, bench or cushion in silence.

There is also the weekly mindfulness evening, every Wednesday from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a series of mindfulness exercises for everyday life, breathing exercises and shorter meditations. The first time, however, please come to the evening meditation on Tuesdays, then I will advise you on site.


What do I mean by a VHS mindfulness basic course at Meyerhof?


The AK course includes 4 teaching units of 90 minutes each with many practical, relaxing exercises for at home and in everyday life, in order to be able to live from the calm of your own center and to act and live powerfully.


What can I expect from the VHS course "I learn to meditate"?


The challenges of everyday life throw most people out of their natural balance, because most of the time they only look outwards in order to "monitor" their everyday life with their thoughts. This happens imperceptibly, but leads to permanent tension and high energy consumption in many people. People are not relaxed and unperturbed, but "under stress", comparable to a nervous bundle of nerves. Looking inward is missing, where everything can be found: energy, serenity, happiness, compassion.

Meditation goes back to Buddha and is a methodology that leads people into their own center of stillness. In the basic course you will learn the technique of meditation. I draw on 30 years of training and in 2017 received the official empowerment from Zen Master Roshi Genki USA to accompany people on their inward journey. This probably most important and most beautiful path in a person's life should not be taken without a real experienced person who has already walked this journey.
